For a newbie publisher using a WYSIWYG sitebuilder, which product would be more suitable for a starter blog; Blogger or Typepad (or other). Thanks, Tom

Use wordpress for your blog. At the very least use a blog that is hosted on your own servers. Blogger is great, but one day you could wake up and find your account deleted. All your hard work down the drain.

I would prefer wordpress over blogger. The former has got more features than blogger.

Since I'm such a bad Speller I always do my Blogs in Notepad and then save them by Date and paste them into my blog... I also about twice a month backup my Template Code on my hard disk so I always have a copy of atleast the layout and my articles... :D

I hear that Wordpress is difficult for a beginner.

I bet *if it's FREE to sign up*, you could try it and if you do not like it, Just Delete Your Account and find another Blog service...

wordpress.com has the free version and wordpress.org has the version to install on your server. If you just cannot get your own server, then go with blogger ;)
