Google Loves Hub Pages and I have been able to get on the first page quickly with them. The only problem is that Hub Pages doesn't like a lot of Affiliate links and you can have problems getting a page approved.

Blogger is owned by Google and although I would not say that Google and Amazon are married, they are definitely having an affair. So Google does tend to look the other way when a blogger blog is loaded with links. My experience, and this is just personal, I am not making generalizations here, is that my hub pages tend to get ranked quicker and then fade away while the blogger takes a bit longer to rank but holds its rank for a longer period of time.

The short answer is that both of them have their pros and cons. Why choose though, just use both.

Why not try both and test them? It's free.

Yes, but if i try both it's can be duplicate content.
I create some hubs with original content and i'm waiting to see if the search engines will index my hubs in good position. if not i'm gonna switch to blogger.

You are not going just get indexed automatically. regardless of which one you decide to use, you will still have to SEO the heck out of it.

If you want to split test them, then just write one really long article. Then go sentence by sentence and rewrite it with different verbiage.

After you are done, you will have two writings that say pretty much the same thing but are unique to each other.

Then pick a reasonable cut off point and post that to hub pages and blogger.

After that add paragraphs at timed intervals to each one to keep them fresh.

That is how I do it anyway.

This just in Google doesn't care about Duplicate content. Google crawls it and ranks it.

This is EXACTLY why a new story from Reuters, Associated Press, or... any other syndicated publication can rank for the EXACT SAME ARTICLE.

But if you want to pick just one then go for it. Hubpages will penalize you some for duplicate content. But it's not a big deal.

Blogger has a lot of close integration with Amazon lately. It is really easy to put in the Amazon links now compared to some time ago. As someone else pointed out here, hub pages you might have an issue with affiliate promotion. But hub pages can bring in some traffic if used wisely.

One last point. I had some really good blogger blogs some time ago which used to bring in consistent traffic. One fine day, it was all deleted by Google. I have really worked on this to write good content and did a lot of back linking stuff. All the efforts are gone.

After this experience, I have decided to have my own website and started from the scratch. Traffic is low now compared to earlier however I have better control on my website content. Also, I am confident that the traffic building efforts will bring results over a long time period.

In short, all these blogger or hub pages or any other web 2.0 properties can be used to funnel traffic to your website and from there you should drive the visitor to the review or purchase decision or for list building. Just my 2 cents.

Build your reputation FIRST on Hubpages. When you have your rep you can integrate affiliate links. All you need is a single well placed link.

People who throw up a ton of affliate links on Hubpages will get voted down. People who write good articles and build their reputation will have no problem. If you do it right you can cash in big time. There are working moms pulling in over $1,000 a month on HubPages. The secret is your must have high Rep and it's not going to happen over night. It will take about a month. Very worth the effort.
