What will be the difference between blogger blog and blog on private server as far as income is concerned?
The folks @ Blogger are on a rampage: they are shutting down any and all suspected splogs (spam blogs), and many legit blogs are getting deleted because they are deleting with extreme prejudice You could spend lots of time and energy setting up and promoting a free Blogger blog, and then wake up one day to find it gone. If you use Blogger with your own domain name, you don't have to worry about that stuff. As always, IMO. AmCy
First, I am assuming that you mean your own domain name and a shared hosting account. A private server would be overkill. Buy your own and you control the show. As long as you follow your host's TOS no one will shut you down or delete your account. Hosting is cheap. $36 a year is about all you would need to pay for all the BW and disk space you will use in the bear future.
I would forget about using Blogger as the Blogger team are really messing the service up. Too many blogs are being deleted and lots of users are getting errors that nobody seems to know anything about it - see the other thread Blogger Error Use Word Press on your own host that way if you have more control over the actual blog.
Find a good cheap host that already have Word Press in the account panel. I use www.3ix.org for $1 a month which comes loaded with all kinds of freebies.
If you are just concerned with revenue I can’t say that it will earn more than a blog hosted on blogger but there are a few facts that you must take into account. Basically if you host your own blog you can always improve it in many ways, something that is very limited in blogger.
