Hi, I have a blogger (blogspot) site and had some questions on SEO. 1) Do blogger sites need sitemaps 2) How can I get all my pages indexed 3) Do blogger sites need keyword, discription, and title tags? Thanks
you can optimized your title, description and keywords tag manually, you can get indexed all urls with interlinking them to each other. Regular update your blog and submit in blog directories. go for ping the blog.
If you are that serious why not go to your own domain then put all the time in? You can't loose your domain unless you forget to renew... PM me if you need any help...
Bloggers doesn't need any site maps. Any way you can submit site map at google web master tools with your site url/rss.xml or url/atom.xml If you keep posting and getting posts interlinked they can be indexed by google automatically. Title tags,key words,seo... all these are needed for blogger like any other website. The only problem with blogger is you won't have too much flexiblity to change layouts...
Yes its good to have title, description and keyword tags for your blogs. Internal Linking is the solution if you want your all pages to be crawled. And for good results and traffic for your blogs, update them regularly with quality content and promote them through blog submissions and other off page SEO techniques.
I think if you are looking to do SEO for google you n'd better have sitemap. And it doesn't metter what you have blog or ordinary static web site
I agree submit the site map to google thru the webmaster tools. As an additional note isn't blogspot a no follow site? Kinda new to SEO but I thought I read this on a forum. Wouldn't it be better to put you blog on do follow sites or better yet your own site!
If you want to your blogspot to be indexed by search engines, you need to add backlinks to your blogspot.
