Blogger SERP question for the experts....

I was wondering a blog "have" to be update or else it will slowly be dropped from the SERP's? I just wondered, I know most content sites can be left alone for some time and stay high in the SERPS but I wondering that about blogs.

I have a couple blogger blogs that have gone to number one for a key phrase each and was wondering if there was way to keep them at the top other than continuous posting or building back links?

Probably asking to much....I guess I should have optomized a site for these phrases rather than a blogger blog. Can you let me know

Optimize the blog pages for the phrase and try to keep building links when you can

 

There is no definitive answer to this, as there are too many factors to consider. But when in doubt, always add more content. A stale site never stays at the top of any good SERPs.

 

Okay, but would you say a ignored blog can stay at number one as long as a ignored website?
