Blogger or Wordpress.com Which one is better?

    Blogger blogs just dominate their own stuff, yes they are easy to operate and quicker to index as google favours them more, but still having your own domain wordpress site is better. You never know, google will just remove your blog from the blogger site and will never give you any warning. Since last 3 years, I have almost lost more than 10 blogs on blogger with atleast PR2 without any prior notice.

    Wordpress is a much better platform for affiliate marketing.
    This is due to the fact their is so much more advice out there on the web for it.
    It's also a lot more customizable in my eyes and is used by many experts.

    I would recommend Wordpress as it's widely used by big companies like TechCrunch, and it has HUGE amount of plugins as it's open source. Blogger is still hosted closed platform.

    For the newbies without webmaster related knowledge better go to blogger because it is very easy to use. However, for the advance user, more of them prefer wordpress

    blogger is much more better if you want to monetize and use a custom domain with it .And the best thing is later you can move to self hosted wordpress if you want .

    wordpress no doubt. tons of options/themes, user friendly, and if you get hosting the plugins and options are limitless. wordpress is a ridiculously versatile platform.

    I prefer Wordpress more than that of blogger. But i cannot monetize wordpress for adsense. But the design of wordpress based blog is always fine.

    Thanks for putting this comparison together. On the comment about comment spam, I get more spam coming through a Wordpress blog I look after that has less hits than my Blogger blog. It takes a lot more effort to manage spam than blogger because I just don't get that much (a couple per year maybe).
