I am new to blogging so I have been using blogger instead of wordpress but so far I have had very good results.

I just have a question regarding what the benefits of having my own domain are as opposes to .blogspot.

    Thanks for your help

it depends. If you really want to blog , i mean if you want to blog for a long time ( cant tell how long but long) and also if you willing to spend 4/5 bucks a month then i would say go ahead and get a domain of your own and start blogging.. You will also have your own advertising right , you can customize the look and more.

Buy your own domain! For sure. It doesn't cost much and your blog looks alot more professional and it's easier to sell ad spots. :)

By all means buy your own domain and I know a few who use blogger.com to host the domain.

I actually just bought my domain projectpaydaymentor.com and moved all traffic from my blog to this url.

However, when you click on http://projectpaydaymentor.com/ you don't see my blog.

    Please Help!

What, exactly, did you do? Did you set up WordPress and export your data from your old blog and move it to the new host?

If you are going to buy a domain; get one with cpanel for the back end; then with fantastico install wordpress. Easy as it gets man; wordpress is the way to go if you own your own domain.
