I hope this is the right section for this question....as I cannot find any section related to blogs....!

I would like to start a blog for the business I am in, and it seems blogger is the easiest to use. I have been advised however it is better to get my own domain name. I am looking for a suitable name, but in the meantime would like to start my blog. Does anyone know if I can start a blog using blogger without a domain name to start off with....and then "add" or attach the blog to the domain name when I get it? I cannot find any info on this on the help pages of blogger.com.

As I know blogger doesn't allow this but you can register domain name later and redirect it to your blogspot website. Anyway, even though it is possible I don't recommend do it :)

I would rather to create the content offline and later register the domain and post the content. You can use wordpress script - it is easy to install and use it.

You'd better make your blog have a TLD.I believe you definitely know the importance of a TLD to a site. Therefore, try to find a suitable domain for your blog. After that, start to promote your domain and blog,it'll be better.Good luck.

Whoever recommends that you should get a domain first is right.

If you have started your site with no domain of yourself then all your SEO work on that domain will not exist on the new domain where you redirect your content.
