I like Blogger than Wordpress. it is free like wordpress but it is easy to customize and even you can host it on your server with more flexibility.

Wordpress hands down. Firstly, wordpress has more authority (if you are hosting) because there is no .blogspot.com address and secondly, it's very seo friendly. I use wordpress only and get indexed very quickly (a few days to a week max). Many plugins available to improve seo. With blogspot you could get banned for any reason -- you don't even own your domain. What if google decides to pull the plug on your site for whatever reason they choose?!

Since you said "where" it means you don't have your own hosting. So it's no use going for Wordpress.com, stick with Blogger. It's much better for newbies and those who don't have their own hosting or domain names.

If you are going to host your blog on your own hosting than I would suggest wordpress is the best... or else blogger is the best solution as it is giving full control to html and css changes which lakes in wordpress.

Best is go for self hosted wordpress blog, instead of free blogger or wordpress.com as you will get only subdomain.

    Hi,

thats a good question, but when it is compared with search engines. google will give much importance to the blogger.com as it is owned by it.

I would recommend using wordpress instead of blogspot.
Wordpress is really well at SEO and the pages get's indexed into google within no time.
It also have a lot of great themes and plugins to customize your blog, anyway you want.

    Good Luck.

Wordpress gives you much more flexibility and control over your blog. Blogger is good, but inflexible. It's a good start, but personally I would recommend going with Wordpres, it's the industry standard and offers so much more.
