Hi I added adsense to one blog in blogger but the ads that keep showing up are related to blogging and nothing related to the blog content itself. The id I gave was ca-pub one - isnt that right ? How come only blogging related ads only show up ? Thanks
are you doing a preview through the blogger software or are you typing in the url of your blog directly? If you doing a preview it uses bloggers pub-id therefor you get blogging ads.
how long has the blong been online? I could be possible that the adbot hs not seen your site yet or maybe you have some keywords that blog advertisers have targeted.
When you start using Adsense on a blog it is common for them to only publish ads about blogging, etc… Over time you’ll see that things start to change. I have a blog about Portugal and it is highly targeted, very relevant ads.
Actually even here on DP I find most ads related to google, adsense etc - I dont find any ads related to the thread.
Targetting is a problem on most new blogs. Blog ads, write for money, free blog, etc. were flooding my pages till recently. It seems alright, as of now. I'm getting targetted ads on a blog now, but it took me nearly a week to show relevant ads.
I really don’t see what the problem is. I wish that some of my blogs would at least have blog related blogs, instead they have no ads at all…
Actually this is the 2nd time Im using adsense (1st time being here in DP ! ad revenue sharing forum !) - it was originally activated for a website of mine but never placed there as Im redoing the site and will have the adsense after I finish uploading the new one. How can I possibly enter myblog.blogspot.com in the AdSense for Content filters url list ?
The filter his talking about is the Competitive Ad Filter. Log on to your Adsense account then go to AdSense Setup and Competitive Ad Filter. There you can add the URL’s of the sites that you don’t want displaying ads on your site. It’s used to prevent competitors from displaying there ads on your site.
Don't worry about it yet, sounds like you need to let it figure out what you are going to be blogging about. On my blogs I find that Google is usually a post or two behind with respect to Adsense topics. However, by the time you get into the "post pages" that show up in SERPS, the ads are on target -- and that is how most strangers will find you.
