    Recently I saw a statcounter log of some blog.
    The blog has PR4 and only 32 back links in Google.
    But the statistic shows that it has more than 2000 unique visitors per day!!!
    Moreover, 25% of the visits have no referring links. Does it mean that people type the URL manually?
    Also it has only 5% of returning visits.
    How is it possible to have so many visitors with so low PR?

    It is possible and you can see many low PR site have even more than 10000UV pr day especially those entertainment nche blog. It is because traffic is more related to SERP than PR. Besides, they can drive traffic through SMO and email marketing

    Thank you for the quick reply. Could you clarify what is SMO?

    SMO is just like SEO.

    SMO --> Social Media Optimization
    SEO --> Search Engine Optimization

    Why not? PR is not the main factor for traffic, SERP and other online/offline marketing strategies that matter, a PR0 website can even do advertisement on TV or radio that brings in a lot of traffic with 0 backlinks.:)

    It is just possible irregardless of PR.

    Try to install Google Analytics code to get more statistics information.

    You can join many online entertainment groups and provide them cool stuff via mail update and after few time you will start getting direct traffic from direct typing url method .

    PR is a just 1 factor for SERPS. Also the source of traffic is not just search results. Social Media plays a vital role in generating traffic.

    Getting traffic and visitors is not only related to search engines and google SERP's or even the PR..
    You have a new page/site with PR N/A and get tons of traffic to that page if it becomes famous ;)

    It is quite possible. That site must have SEOed very well making it up in the SERPs. Organic traffic depends upon search engine rankings than PR, which mainly shows your reputation in the websphere.

    Put aside the PR issue. Sometimes all it takes for to get that kind of traffic is to rank well for a one particular highly-searched for keyword in search engine.
