Blog vs Website

I want to know that Can blogger blogs be (like my blog http://coolfunnyquotes.blogspot.com )ranked similar to websites.Or websites r given more prority over the blogs by the search engines.

There is no such thing which confirms such a preference, but the traffic in the internet is pretty much largely tilted towards websites, one reason being awareness and the other being websites registered for a reasonable period of time gives authenticity that one fine morning it cannot vanish, in case of blogs (free) you can delete them in a second at the click of a button.

 

I want to know that If we are searching some keyword.Can blog having good backlinks be ranked better than website.Or it will be given second option.

I noticed that google liked blogs 6 months ago but today I see that google don't love blogs like before.

 

i think privately hosted blogs (like wordpress on your own server and domain name) hold as much weight as a regular website.

Yes, it can happen. It depends on your content, the relevancy of your anchor text and the quality of each backlinks.

 

I've seen blogger blogs rank quite high in SERPs, but they don't dominate the first three pages.

 

It is pretty easy to optimize Wordpress blogs on your own domain, and it isn't a bad CMS if you are using it for a smallerish site. Wordpress also makes it easy to do sitemap generation, etc.

 

Blogs are treated the same as any other website depending on your optimization quality you will get the ranking results just keep getting quality back links and you will rank high just as any other website on domain.
