    I am using blogspot with custom domain and it is working fine for me, and now Google is offering more features in blogspot like advance template design, static pages.
    Just for example see some pages(not to promote here)
    blog address- http://smstoshare.blogspot.com/
    custome domain- http://smsinhindi.com/
    static page example- http://smsinhindi.com/p/text-messages.html

    and more interesting is that when you use customer domain then your original blogspot url is redirect to custom domain.

    I do both blog and website. Website mainly for the long-term investment. Blogs are good to support a website, either hosted on the same server (best such as a Wordpress blog) or not quite as good is a free blog platform targeting the main site with keyword-rich text links.

    Some months ago, I decided to put up a new website for one of my new services. I was using a template (something I rarely do) and, it came with very clear step-by-step instructions. Now, I hit some snags, which I eventually resolved, but the one thing I had to do which drove me crazy was sit at my PC for hours writing content for the site since I couldn’t upload it to the server without ensuring all the pages were complete.
