Blog vs. Single-Page HTML site

I'm beginning to SEO a landing page I have for a (clickbank) product review site. It's just for a single niche and will only be one page.

As of now, I'm using yahoo answers, directories, videos etc. for SEO. I'd like to know, would using wordpress along with submitting RSS feeds really help with rankings? Would it be worth switching for a basic HTML page to wordpress for the rss alone?

Wordpress helps you a lot with ranking and google likes blogs more then 1 page sites. Good luck!

I guess what I really mean is - Would submitting a single-post Blog to RSS feeds increase SERPS enough to justify switching from a simple HTML page to Wordpress?

oh sorry. The best would be to do it both. Rewrite the content and do them both. If you dont want that I would switch to wordpress. Your ranknings should be higher with rss then a simple html page.

I have always stuck to static webpages instead of using a blog, or wordpress theme however after 9-10 months of developing my website one of my biggest regrets was that i did not start on a wordpress theme the amount of plug ins and helpful software/tools that are available for wordpress themes is amazing.

They both have their benefits however i find that with static pages much more time is taken up with optimisation and inputting content e.t.c
