Blog vs domain

I would like to know which one would be better for generally putting text ads and adsense and if there would be a difference in traffic generation when i get backlinks and such?

I would like to know also:

1. Are free hosting websites reliable?

2.if i want to switch my blogspot to a domain , should i do it with blogger or buy a new domain while trying to remake all my posts and thus all my linking?

 

It is always good long term to pay for actual hosting, and for a real domain name.

 

You need a real host and a real domain.

 

I agree with Raithe. The truth is the serps do not see free webhosting well as it is often subject to spam. This is one of the reasons why you do not see many websites hosted on free webhosting ranking well. There are exceptions of course such as blogs from Blogger and WordPress.

Get your own domain name and obtain real hosting. If you are at all serious about your business its the only way to go

 

Could i just buy the domain from google? ( i like the name of my blog and wouldnt want to change it)

 

I saw on these forums some people that host for 1$ or 50¢ . Are they reliable hosts like the real ones or they just like free ones only i have to pay for them?
