Blog url options? does it matter?

    I am using wordpress and under Options-Permalinks i can choose how i want my links to display. I have it set as default. Does it matter how i display them.

    If i change it to anything but Defualt my links break and it says page cannot be found.

    You need to make your htaccess writable or manually do it. The default link is a bit crappy IMO.

    Mostly its just personal taste, but the the other urls do allow better indexing from bots.

    same problem i faced, i don't know how to make that file writable, so i did manually!

    when you change the option of your url, at the end of the page you get some codes, copy them!
    after that download the htaccess file from your public_html folder and copy the codes in it. open the htaccess file using your notepad to copy the codes.

    save it and upload it, and you are done! easy:)
