    What stat plugin/site are you using?
    As of the moment it's WP-Stats for my blog but it's not that up-to-date anymore so I'm looking for something more detailed. Still tracking my site through Analytics but it updates every 24 hours and it's useful to check on how I did on the weekends but I need something more real time. Any suggestions?

    While not a stats plugin, there is WP Live http://headzoo.com/live which lets you watch your website activity in real time. You can watch as people are visiting your pages, leaving comments, and grabbing your feeds.

    And agree, Analytics is the way to go.

    I use both sitemeter and Woopra... Woopra can get a little glitchy on the user end, but both give you up to the minute statistics. I'll warn you though, when you have a way to check and see how many people have visited your site in the last [insert increment of time here], it can be very tempting to check your stats every few minutes, just to see what kind of traffic you've been getting ;)

    @mizaks hmm will check

    @dodger
    nah I don't want live stats. It makes quite paranoid. I have who.among.us for that

    @snarke

    I still use Analytics myself. It seems to be the best tracking software out there. I also wouldn't be too worried about checking your stats every few hours. Once a day is more then enough I believe. If you get too worked up about your stats you may get depressed if things aren't working the way you want them to and you will get discouraged to continue. Just keep at it and check stats once in awhile is how I do it.

    well I'm not really interested in checking things every hour. I just need to know when most of the visits on my blog happen like is it busier in the morning or the afternoon or when I'm asleep.
