Blog Topic? Money, Art, Technology

Hey guys, I need some help. I just started a blog, wordpress "my first real site ever" and I know how to promote a site, but unfortunately I cannot decide what the blog's main idea is going to be. What do you guys suggest. Something I am familiar with or something that just seems to be popular like money making blogs and such...? Or even a niche. Thank you!

What are you most knowledgeable and interested in?

 

I am knowledgeable in art in comics. Actually I am an amazing artist, but unfortunately that would have more to do with images opposed to text/articles which the search engines crave.

Should I go for a niche like pest control blog; bats, rats, roaches, ants.

 

You could write about art in comics.

 

Like draw art then explain the comics?

Or just target political, funny, awkward things with comics?

Something you are familiar with and something that you love. I learned that lesson the hard way. I had to abandon my blog because it got to be too much work to find the information needed for it. If it's something that is in your heart or in your head, you'll never run out of ideas for it.

I think using your art is a great idea. Show your work and then blog about it. Tell your readers how you did it, materials used, why you did it, what it means to you, etc.

 

No problem. The domain has a lot of potential, since it is hardly specific.
