I have been thinking of creating a forum off of a blog of mine that is related to science. However, I was wondering what everyone thought. Is it better to first create a forum and then create a blog off of the forum or am I going in the right direction with the creation of the blog first, building that up and then making a forum to connect to it. I appreciate the feedback.
I believe both ways are ok, so if you have your blog already, you can ask your readers to join your forum. And this ways can help you to increase forum members who write something.
Problogger had a great post about this topic the other day. I think blog to forum would be better since you already have a blog.. You'll need to presell it.
Alright. I thought the same thing, but I wasn't sure what other people thought. I appreciate the feedback.
I would go blog to forum. With a forum you are relying on getting other people to post. By starting with a blog, you only need to motivate yourself to post. If the content is there, in time you will be able to build a large audiance. Then when you launch your forum the large audiance is already built in.
if you want my suggestion then i will say you should create a blog first, then create a forum. post very good contents everyday, drive traffic in your site, then put your forum link there. hope if people like your blog, then they will surely join your forum too. thanks
it would be better to create a blog first. and when users try to comment, let them redirect to the forum post in your own forum of course
I created a blog and built traffic around it and then added a forum and now my traffic is more than double with blog alone! cheers, Josh
if your blog is nice and creative, certainly many people who want to visit your blog, and give comment.
