Hey folks, I've been reading that certain Wordpress themes are more optimized for search engines. Any comments on this statement? I'm trying to decide whether to invest the $90 or so for a theme. Thanks!
depending on how the theme is designed, googlebot might find it easier to crawl some blogs than others but thats not a big deal. you can SEO any wordpress themes. you can do it either manually or install all in one seo pack for wordpress themes which will take care of the blog on-site seo
Thanks for the response! I found a nice theme - "neoclassical" and also a good link explaning how to optimize.
I agree that the SEO all in one pack should take care of pretty much any SEO issues a particular theme might have. The content you produce on your blog is way more important for SEO than the theme you use.
You can use Thesis theme or Wp Premium both are seo friendly themes. and for plugins - Google Analytics, All in one SEO, and site map xml generator this will help you a lot.
Thanks guys. I ended up going with NeoClassical theme with WordPress. Also found a great thread for optmizing your blog for search engines: oops - looks like I'm too junior on the site to post links...
