    I wasn't aware that anyone still used geocities. I use a combination of blogger and squarespace.com and commission junction for ad revenue. Commission junction is more fashion and retail based, but that's more consistent with the topical nature of my content than ads by google often is. I submitted the site and the xml feed to about 20 directories today, and I'm going to give some of the sites you listed a try as well.

    Squarespace.com gives you a feed and will list the blog and the site in about 5 directories, you get decent management software as well. They offer 20 mb free, and you actually have to pay if you want more. I've had a lot more exposure through them, on my old blog, than I have the blog I'm using blogger for, which is why I'm going to continue to submit my sites to the free services that are available. Even other "blogger"s don't visit the other blogs that are on the same network they're on, so go figure. If I want a hit, I have to go to someone else's blog and comment on their content and do it that way.
