Blog site for single father of three....

Hey guys,

I'm interested in hearing your opinions about this site I just built. I'm a noob when it comes to site building and this is only the second site I've done.

I think the color and the layout look great and very professional for the blog page.. i also checked the forum and I think you can change that light blue color to the color of your blog page so that everything blends together. you can also work on the membership. .. as it is right now i think you are doing great and i give you 8/10 .. i'll check back later! good luck

Thank you for your comments, I appreciate it.

As for the color of the forum Snowball, I experimented with my options and even though I can make it look identical in font and color, the layout changes a bit and I don't like it as much. I know it's not perfect, but at this point it's functional and that's what matters at this point. I do however appreciate your candor and will continue to fiddle with it to see if I can get it looking beter!

Yes, looks good, but I would like to see more photos/graphics besides just on the photos page. Videos would also be a good addition.

Nice Theme and good idea for the site, i admire these types of sites!

 

Fully detailed and plenty of fun is this blog. I like the optimistic mood in which the articles are written. I love how every post is sequential. I like how the articles are written into readable chunks and not just full of rubbish. The approach in this blog is clean and not messy. I propose this to anyone who desires to dig into this topic. Enjoyed the great references he had yet given. Real constructive arrange and unique content on this blog, love it.

The titles are so intelligently written, it compels you to read. The passion with which the author writes about issues turns you provoked.

 

Very well done for a first time, congratulations on that. I suggest you make a logo or at least a favicon. You could start a logo contest on the appropriate section of the dp forums.

 

I liked the design and colors you've chosen. I think adding some pictures won't spoil your blog

 

Thank you all so much for your comments! I'm glad to read that in your eyers my first attempt at something like this has turned out so well. I an definitely taking all of your suggestions to heart and will be adding more content and pictures. I'm just torn between this and several other works in progress, so time is kind of limited. There will be a full photo gallery including HD video coming very soon. Again, thank you for taking the time to look it over and commenting, both I and rDad appreciate it greatly!

 

I really enjoyed looking at your blog. I know the hard work that it takes trying to create a site and control kids! Very nice layout and easy to navigate. You encluded a photo section and you should put some photos in it

I really took some of your suggestions to heart and made a few changes. I changed the color to make it a bit more fluid in design as the forum looked best in blue. And I added a comment feature to the blog articles to allow the general public to make comments on the individual articles. Let me know if these changes are good ones.
