Hello I am looking for a fellow DP member to help me set up a new blog that i can add adsense to and begin to blog about things i wish to. I am not sure what the best blog script is to use or the do's and dont's with blogs. I am not offering cash but asking this as a favor. If this is posted in the wrong spot move to correct one plz.
I have a simple review which might help you choose the blog software: http://www.seoblog.us/2005/12/blog-software-review.html
Raven, I believe the common consent is to use wordpress and host it on you own domian. I have a link that outlines the needed changes to the files for seo purposes and also recommended plugins. One of the plugins is for using adsense. The changes are pretty straight forward. The outline even goes into some detail how to categorize your blog for targeting specific keywords. I'll dig up the url and post it later on. I don't have the info where I am at now.
sounds like you are new to blogging, wordpress can be a bit intense for a beginner. I currently use both Blogger.com and my own wordpress site, but I'd recommend for you to start at a free blog site such as blogger.com and there is alot of sites that can help you with placement. Blogger even has a built in "Adsense" tool within itself that will do it for you.
Raven, here are those links. I even believe I got some of them from threads on this forum: http://www.jimwestergren.com/seo-for-wordpress-blogs/ http://armyofblogs.com/super-charge-your-wordpress-blog Andrea I would have agreed with you up until a week or two ago. During that time I had a bunch of blogger sites deleted. Some were my own fault, some I have no idea. That meant over a years worth of work on some of the blogs. I think any learning curve can be quickly overcome with the help of others on this forum.
good stuff cpu canday i got a word press set up and used a new skin so thinks are looking good and now the ctr is at something i can be happy with thanks for the info and links
your CTR on a brand new blog is already making you happy? So your friends are clicking your ads for you or something?
