Blog Rolls, Good links ?

getting on peoples blog roll, is that good ? I see some people got page 6 blogs and they add others to their blog roll. Is this a very good way of link building. ?

No. Blog rolls off very little ;ink value (if any) unless you use it for click through traffic only

 

Personally my blogroll has been great at brining traffic to my site. If you plan to blogroll make sure you look at the site - is it relevant? good content? giving you solid link placement on their site?

Avoid mass produced sites with generic info that is never updated

 

Blogrolls are very good for SEO but you need to be careful on which sites you choose. Try to use highly related and PR5+ blogs.

I don't understand half the opinions and 'I think's on this thread. A link on a blog roll is a link, plain and simple. If the blog is quality, authoritative, good traffic, then yes, the link is great, just like on any other website

 

I've noticed that if someone has my link on their blogroll and whenever they make a post, I get a new backlink. Which is pretty cool.

 

Well that's only if the blog roll is shown site-wide

A blogroll link won't weigh as much as a deep textual link, but I still think they are good links if they come from content related sites.
