just a little suggestion... i think its better if you put the search function just below the rss/subscribtion function...
hi your site looks good, colour, add placement, mostly everything except bottom of your page. I find it messy. cant you do something about those link ? A big green patch at the bottom. I'm sorry for a negative comment. but that is how i feel. All the best and keep going.
