Hi guys, Firstly thanks again for the comments. I have listened Ive bought a new theme and spent a bit of time playing around with layout etc.. if you could take a look http://www.test.ridemad.com Obviously a test site and it has no ads on yet, i was thinking of putting an adsense skyscraper in the right hand sidebar from the top. I know theres a problem with the padding on the right which ill fix. Once im happy with it, ill just copy the css over to my main site. I'll also be using a plug in to place 2 ad units in each of the posts. Just wondering if you think its the right direction colour wise etc... I will be reducing the sizes of the images on the home page too which should make it load a bit quicker. Thanks again Paul
I think it takes to much time to lode in Mozilla, & opera as well & your pic size is to large so make it some good amount of size.
was this the test.ridemad.com site you looked at or the main ridemad.com site ? Theres only 2 images on the main page of the test site. Cheers Paul
Hello... Just some of my thoughts for this: Header: I think a close up image of the peoples faces on a ride would be great! Not so much displaying the ride.... The background is a bit busy for this header.. Logo: need a new one Content area: a good clean layout would be nice... something that doesn't separate... right now.. the navigation on the left separates from the content area... same with the right column... it also separates from the content area... Content: awesome! Hope that helps a bit... Lhlalyam
looks good, a little old looking maybe. is probably the paper background. Good though, kinda reminds me of a Third gen camaro site
The blog looks pretty OK, but I think you could think about finding a different place for the goodgle adsense. You want your blog to be the main even there, not the ad.
i would say it is a good one. like the theme. nice picture. doesn't look real to me but beautiful. but now let's go to the not so good part. 1. get rid off adsense from the top and put within your content. it kind of turn me off at first impression. 2. that black border on your sidebar doesn't look very nice. 3. the text contents looks kind of dull. but don't know how to give opinions on this maybe others can give good options of font or style. 4. make sure the graphics is fully optimized. slow loading page could turn people away. anyway once again good picture. theme park is a good website theme to monetize with adsense. so if you do it right and get the crowd it would be a profitable one. so wish you success.
Thanks for the response guys . I have bought a new template now and im currently working on this at www.test.ridemad.com once this is complete I will move the template over to the main site. 1. Graphics on the front page are smaller and the quality has been reduced so it should load quicker. 2. the background paper effect is gone, I have some new colours now. 3. Adense from the middle of the first page is gone and will be placed in content, 2 adverts per post. 4. I have a new banner (not installed) yet that someone on here provided me with. Current fighting with CSS (im no expert) as i have some layout problems on the test site with IE7, hopefully it will be complete by the end of the week. Cheers Paul
