How can I get a quick PR for a blog. what are the things I need to do so that I can get at least pr3 within 3 months. Is it possible?
Very possible. I got pr 4 in my first update. I wasn't trying to build backlinks, I was actually just trying to get traffic. I submitted to as many website directories as I could and exchanged links with other sites in my niche.
It is definitely possible to get a PR3 in three months. I have done it, more than once. What worked for me: Started a blog. Made regular posts 2-4 times a week. The posts were unique, written by me, and of great interest to people in the niche(I know, because I'm in this niche). I made sure it was optimized for search engines including: Title of the post was title of the page (EX: myblog.com/here-is-keyword-in-title), meta tags, alt text on photos(which helped them rank in google images), and internal links referring to other posts via keyword anchor text. I submitted my best posts to Digg, StumbleUpon, and Delicious. I placed a few comments (less than 20), using the name of my blog(which has one of my keywords in it but is not blatently spammy) as the anchor text name, and only on blogs in some way related to my niche. Submitted to 4 good free directories. I tried to make my blog fun, quality, and with people in my niche in mind. My blog still only has 28 inbound links (six of which came from related blogs who linked to me freely because they liked it. That's it!! PR3 in less than 3 months. What I didn't do: Leave thousands of worthless comments on peoples blogs, buy links or buy a directory submission service, or spend any money on anything besides the domain name. I still say content is king. When I read about people leaving comments on hundreds of blogs per day to try and boost their PR, I think "What a waste of time".
Its definately possible, you just need to build backlinks fast as next pr update is expected by next month-end.
You can easily gain a pr3 in 3 month by combining the above methods. However, pr doesn't mean everything, it does not impact upon your serps.
If PR has nothing to do with SERPs why is it the top site in a search has the highest PR. You can search any keyword. Can someone tell me the whats the point of PR if not for SERPs? Why do we all try to get High PR backlinks for then? What I think I PR meter is just to show us the importants of the page as the big G sees it. Witch inturn has a very large effect on SERPs. Im dont understand It does not make sense.

Yeah and you can get a pretty good Alexa & Compete ranking also, I did. Its weird, my surfing blog just got PR but the main page is PR1 while some of the posts pages are PR2 now. Anyone know why?

My friend just got PR3 within a couple months, I am at PR2 and I think its been maybe a couple weeks over a month since I launched one of my blogs.

it's possible if you can have or buy quality backlinks from higher PR site. Mine site got PR 3 for the first update as well.
