Blog posting times

I've noticed that I have a very large amount of time in just posting a blog. It usually takes me 3-5 minutes to just finish a blog post up- and that's with the content already written!

Putting links to other page in, putting in pictures, and making captions can take a great amount of time.

My question is, does the linking and captions pay off in the long run? How long does it take you to do these tasks, if any time at all?

I takes me about 30 minutes to make an average post if it is information submitted from a third party, and it takes me around 2 hours to do my week end post every Thursday.
I also spend 10-20 hours on the week ends doing updates and additions.( not always, it's getting better now)

Definately helps, also don't neglect putting in captions it will help come up under google images. With time it will come down just realize if your being productive or overly critical. it's a fine line.

    Good luck,
    Rob

What is the maximum on links I should include in a post that links to other pages of my site?

I am doing three per page right now, and the articles stay around 450-550 words each. Is that proportional, or can I include more?

I'm not being overly critical...I'm just an idiot. I made it very content heavy, and now I have to keep it up, and just about everything is time sensitive.

Every week, is a whole new set of events, and schedules.
Also most days a single post is about 2 or 3 different subjects, so I make it all one post.

As I said, I'm the idiot, but I do enjoy having the information. It's just hard to keep up, sometimes I fall be hind for a day or so.
