Blog Post used in another blog

I've been reading a bit about splogs in here, and recently started a blog (with original content). I got a comment left recently that showed a post being used on another blog. One of those "and software by Elliot Back" posts.

Since they did link to my post, my first instinct is to not worry about it. I gain a back link, after all, which is all to the good. And they didn't show the entire post, so anyone interested in reading it all will come to my blog.

But is there something I'm missing about this that should worry me?

Also, when this sort of thing happens is it best to approve the comment left so that there's a reciprocal link back to their site, or to reject it?

Any other info on this sort of thing would be helpful, as I've just started the blog and want to get off on the right foot.

    Thanks,
    Jay

Yeah man ,just go with it, and definitely respond to your comments, thank the person for caring, and retain them as a reader.

Since they gave you your "props", it's free promotion for you.
Se if it results in any traffic.
    That is good most times.

As long as they are not using you full post you have nothing to worry about, however you might just want to restrict your blog feeds to summary to ensure no one copies you whole posts.

I approved the comment they left, but noticed that the link was set to NOFOLLOW, so they're not getting any PR benefit from the link.

There certainly doesn't seem to be a downside to this. I guess I'd just been reading a lot about content stealing lately and overreacted.

Thanks for the replies, and the reassurance.
