For my blogs I XMLRPC various services when I add a new post. One of these services has been :

    http://api.my.yahoo.com/RPC2

I have learned recently that this no longer works and hasnt been for some while.

Does anyone know if yahoo discontinued their RPC ping service and if there is a substitute?

Just scrap it and focus on more rss and blog directories/search engines for pinging answers and solutions. My yahoo was just becoming too filled with spammy content and such

I think you misunderstood what I was asking.

    I am referring to this:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ping_%28blogging%29

Google and many other "content providers" allow you to ping them so you can let them know when there is new content. Yahoo used to support it, and now does not seem to. I am trying to figure out if its something on my end or if yahoo just does not support RPC2 pings anymore.
