try not to fall into the trap that is laid these days on the net. Making a blog for adsense,k putting some arcles there that you got from some artilce site and hoping that you'll make money. If you want to have a chance, even with a blog try to have good, new content, updated frequently. You should begin with something you are good at and speak about that. Also attract some friend to comment and read your blog and tell other people about it, because it will be really hard to submit it to directorys, for the simple reason that free blogs that aren't older that 5 -6 month are rarely accepted..this meaning you won't be found easily by search engines

    Thanks for that info.
What if you regulary update a static html page... a website updated similarly to a blog - same result = better ranking or different?

Do forums rank higher because they are constantly being posted to? same as your statement or different?

Thanks you have provided some good insight here.

Each one is having its own charm, go for one which suits you, if you are a newbie then start from blog, its my suggesstion.

Atlast all depends on individual , may be a blog can be better than a static site and vice versa.

There is really only a thin line between the traditional content website and the blog type website.

The only thing I changed in my method is that I set my articles to publish every X days, rather then all at once, I put up a blogroll and I give the posts social bookmarking tags. I also might want to add some avatars later.

Peach is saying that nowadays people use blogging software for regular sites, i.e. the type of sites not traditionally considered "blogs" (i.e. personal web journals). So the line between the two -- blogs and "regular" sites -- have been blurred.

yes thanks jack, that's what I meant.
blog's aren't just journals anymore, these days everyone is making their content site a blog, so that they can enjoy the free promotional services that exist only for blogs. the webrings that were popular a few years ago are todays blogrolls.

Blogging is an easy, free way to get started-- just to test the waters. While websites (not blogs) hosted on free servers are frowned upon by most and usually percieved to be a scam or some loser company that's failing so miserably that it can't afford a domain and hosting -- a blog, however, can be hosted on blogspot, free all day and no one would think twice about it. In my experience, it does take a little longer to get them into the search engines, but you can speed that up by getting your site linked in popular pages (in your signature on forums or commenting on other blogs and including your signature, for example).

If you really want to make a long term go of it, don't try to run around searching for something that everyone seems to be interested in. You can't please all the masses and the competition is too large to even try - something that interests you, however, will be pleasing to work on and just as successful, if not more so, because of the lesser competition.

I am actually trying to find a high paying niche and even I have found one good paying some above 3$ also. And I am going to hire a writer for that so its not a problem for me as I will ask for a sample before hiring him and will check the quality.

I think of starting a blog at blogger.com although from 4 days any blog is not showing up but I hope It will be corrected soon .

Now after starting a blog, I think a daily update of one article is good, what do you think. And as far as promotion is concerned you helped me in that case.

Is that all or anything more that can help me do more better from start
