I would choose a blog outright, dont see much avenues of monetizing a forum and yes this comes out of personaly experience
Yeah, I have a forum but have been slacking on posting / recruiting posters. So I just end up having to waste time deleting all the spam posts for porn and tramadol. So far I'd say a blog is better...but I'm pretty new at this.
Blogs have a short gestation periods while forums cry for a prolonged investment of time, money and manpower.
I use to say that " " but if i still have to choose between blog and forum i think i will go with Forum cause although forum are complex, but you have to do nothing you your forum is start getting some traffic, on the other hand, if you have a popular blog, you still have to find article or stories for your blog...
Hmmm i think Forum is best for making good money on an network im not agree with those who say blog sorry guys its not persional im just sharing my thought and experience i have also an forum and blog and im earning good from forum chearssss!!!!!
if you have a very nice forum with great comunity, am sure you will make a lot of money!! i would prefer an established forum, over a blog. but then if you are just starting off, and you don't have a great comunity, then i would strongly suggest you to start a blog, and earn easy money with less work. it takes a lot to maintain a great comunity and nice forum! you have to pay a few moderators, you will have to get atleast pr5+ to make some impact, no one likes dead forums, you need atleast 5-10 members online every second!! a forum means a lot of input, hardword and money!! if you don't have these, then forget it and start a blog, make easy money. there are way to make money from a blog also: 1) adsense etc! 2) paid posts 3) contextual services!! 4) affiliates links promotion so, there are a lot of way to make money out of forums as well as blogs, don't think blogs makes less money than forums, but then establishing a forum is a lot harder work than you can imagine
Ofcourse everyone would prefer a extablished forum that gets 100'000 unique visitors a day over a blog that gets 100'000 unique views a day. There is more potential in the blog. However the starting of the forum is hard where as in a blog there's nothing to it. So to get a blog with lots of visitors maybe take a month or less where as in a forum take six to twelve months Thanks ~Sheen91
By working on a forum, you can earn money in the form of renting links,doing article writing work etc. Above all, you can interact with people all over the world.
