Is that possible? If I have, let's say, 5 blogs, and I write an article each weekday and spread those 5 article among the 5 blogs, that would mean a blog a day, but each blog update once a week. I then have a 6th blog that collects all the last articles with a teaser that links to the other blogs for the whole read. 1) Is that doable with WP? 2) How? (a brief explanation and link to an info source would be fine) Thanks for any help!
You're basically looking for a blog aggregator. There is a wordpress plugin that supposedly does this, but I've never tried it. The other option is to use a dedicated aggregator. See http://planet.evil.ie or http://planet.mneylon.com for examples. They both use planet which is a python script to poll the various rss feeds at a fixed interval.
Thanks for your info! I checked and found FeedWordPress. I am going to try that first and see if it's ok for me. Thanks again!
Well, I'm back here because I got nothing so far. Feedwordpress confuses me a little, so if anybody knows a website that can explain it better than I found so far, I would be grateful. Or any other solution that you could come up with would be great! Thanks!
mmmmm, I don't remember, please forgive me. I'll have a look again and let you know. Sorry. I think I focused on FWP and thanks for hanging around!
The problem is that I can't find any straightforward installation instructions. The latest Python version is on the server, so that's not a problem, but I don't really know what to do after unzipping the downloaded script. Can you point me in the right direction, please? Thanks!
