Rather than share my niches with you i will share an insight into a few that may help you decide what ones to do and what ones might be too challenging if you are looking to be involved in them and not just reviewing them as you said. Personally i find money related niches (if blogging about it) way too competitive, its insane, but maybe you might do well in it. Some webmaster niches too are pretty hard to get your blog noticed in. I have done better with a .co.uk, UK located blog in a niche that has plenty of adsense advertisers in. Btw, your hosting account is suspended.
I find that finance niche is the most popular one. You can actually do well in it even though many people are doing it.

Its always better to choose a niche according to ur interest rather than following othrs, Beleive me u will be doing much better in blogging about things u find interesting rather thn going by othrs choice cause finally its u who have to manage it. in the end how interesting ur blog is matters.
