So, we know some people who own hundreds of blogs, they range from PR0 - PR,6 they have create a network of blogs for link building. Now these sites are ALL for general categoreise, which means they have a wide variety of content on them, now these sites have dropped domains like 128cc.info, or generaltalkingstuff.com and things like that. Even though these are PR0 - PR6, do you think that Google looks at these as negative link building practices becuase the domain is dropped, or doesn't really make any sense, or that there are just a bunch of different topics on the site?
It depends entirely what you are doing with these domains, and what type of quality you are adding to them. If you're just picking up dropped domains and slamming link after link (completely unrelated to each other) then it most certainly is not organic seo. If however, you are using your own private network for example, with niche related content and only using it for your own websites, this is still a highly effective ranking technique and one that is well within Google guidelines WHEN it's done right. Basic Rule - Do the blogs have any user value? No? Outside Google Guidelines. Yes? (Fresh content, quality resource, niche related etc) Inside Google Guidelines. WebDev
lot of those blog networks got hit by panda update even before penguin was rolled out. known blog network like BMR got their entire network of sites deindexed so they are pretty much out of business. it is best to build your own list and submit to them if you still want to benefit from blog or article submission. using a blog network is something to avoid at this time.
Wew.. Thats a lot money to invest. What if join with blog network services ? Or became a Guest blogging/post ? Have u ever tried it out ? I have seen a few success story with guest blogging. But i never tried it out.. Just wondering..
Well, the network I am talking about is not a "PUBLIC NETWORK' they don't market it like that. These networks are 100% ONLY used by the SEO Company that owns them. They don't have a sit elike that, they just own these networks and when they do Client Services for link building or SEO they use these networks. The main question we were looking to know is if the domain is not really a good really focused name like things like www.allwedoisblog.com and it is a general site where it has a bunch of topics, or something like www.1875ss.com.
I don't think these sites will be attacked by Panda if the contents are not same and some quality contents and discussion is going on. Though still not sure about Google penguin. Need time to get better feedback regarding that.
I would avoid relying on one source of link building such as a blog network. Essentially, you need to have a wide mix of content platforms and and link types.
