This got a bit of a good response at another forum, so I thought I would float the idea here. We're trying to get together a bunch of people. Each person must bring one hosted blog (no free blogs) and allow everyone else in the group access to post on it. (and they receive access to everyone else's) Then, when you launch a site you can log into each blog and write an original article on your niche with links to your site. (There will be quality restrictions here - no duplicate content etc) We're aiming for about 20 people. Anyway, if you're interested drop me a PM.
Any blog age, PR, or any other restrictions? Wouldnt want to join this with a decent blog and be matched up with 19 other people who created a blog yesterday for this.
Yeah, I know what you mean, but it starts to be a logistical nightmare trying to please everyone. Therefore no restrictions. Therefore it is probably best to bring a brand new blog to the party and just let it improve over time with the rest of them. Hell, if a 20 blog network couldn't all get PR 4 within a few months, there is something seriously wrong anyway. The whole thing will be a "slow burn" so don't come in expecting SEO miracles in a few weeks or anything like that.
Can you give any links to blog that allready joined? I'm curious to see what exactly you are aiming to achieve. Maybe I would join..
Hasn't been started yet. Just seeing what the interest is in starting up the idea. Solid so far, so it will probably hit the go button in the next week or two.
As per out PM chat .. I agree to join. I'm going to open new seo blog .. mostly on topic SEO Content Management Systems because that's what I'm getting myself seriously involved in after my company started developing the SEO Website CMS software which is going to be distributed for free to all webmasters. I guess that would be helpful for improving the quality and functionality of this CMS and to spread the word around the web. I'm in. Cheers, venetsian.
Can we discuss guidelines, etc? I am going to start a new blog and want to be certain that I'm setting it up to facilitate our plan as much as possible. Will we each have a posting limit on each member's blog? Any particular topic preferred?
I'll be sending out details and guidelines in the near future to everyone who has expressed interest. In general, make it a "general" themed blog - maybe a "website review" blog or something general like that. Even a personal blog would be fine. It must have it's own domain name (no free blog accounts). There will be a few rules - all content must be original for each blog post you make, no pills, porn or gambling to keep the content quality reasonable. Mostly the rules will be common sense, but I will spell them out in the email. I am going to put up a WP blog as they are easy to SEO - I suggest you do the same if you want to get started straight away.
I would be interested in setting this up for my SEO company only if you required members to have a blog that is at least being indexed and uses navigation that is search engine friendly. Also each blog post should become its own page when archived.
I believe we're all indexed. My blog was last crawled 2/1. I'm not sure how to set up each entry as a separate page, but I'm game if you want to tell me how to do it. I use Serendipity (most of the other members use WordPress and are a lot more savvy than me).
Hey All, Can you please all add my other blog site www.venetsian.com to the blog roll because you have only my www.seophd.com and I want to have both there since seophd.com I hope to use mostly for Search Engine Optimization articles and tutorials and venetsian.com can be used for keyword stuffing. Thanks. I just registered with Wizoob and SansWeb so I'll put something up within few minutes or so .. please feel free to register to my blogs.... also it would be great idea if we make a list of all emails in the network because I don't want to publish on DP everything Cheers, Venetsian
Venetsian, I just sent you a PM with the email addresses. Can you send us all an email to let us know how to register for your blog? Thanks, Frances (ComputerCat)
Email was sent! Thank you very much for responding so quickly!! I love DP for helping us develop such networks!! Cheers to all, Venetsian
Hmm interesting idea. The only problem with it is that I would want only true factual info. How would I know those 20 seo would only write quality useful and factual articles?
You pose an interesting question. We are working on the honor system right now and it's working nicely. We're a good group and are looking out for each other. If we do run into a trouble maker...I'm sure we'll come up with a swift and efficacious remedy. If you're interested, PM me and I'll send you a couple of the articles posted by our group to my blog and you can check it out for yourself.
