Blog meta description not showing, Weebly said it was a Google problem?

I have one Weebly blog that can be SEO challenging at the best of times. But the Meta Description of the Blog posts are not showing in Google search, though the titles are, I contacted Weebly and they said that it is not their side and for me to resubmit DN by "Ask Google to re-crawl your URLs"

Will this fix it, and does submitting your DN to Google recrawl affect your Seo negatively?

Thanks for any advice, and please excuse my Greenhorn questions :)

It is true that Weebly is not responsible for the blog posts that are showed in the search results. Google is not picking up your description because of confusion as a result the SE randomly pick description from your blog. Try to submit in other platforms by providing the specific description of your blog post.

Move to self hosted WordPress blog. This will give you peace of mind and eliminate all of your SEO problems. WordPress is very flexible and easy to manage.

Yes I agree, Wordpress much better for a website on a whole, I have been putting off moving it as I like the design of the Weebly site and it is getting a lot of returning visitors and I don't want to upset that, but I will have to, move soon.
