Hello everybody, I need your advice. I run a blog for iPhone developers. Excuse me, if I don't publish the name/URL. I don't want unnecessary exposure because of my partner. Long story. Anyway, the blog is one year old and pretty successful in my opinion. I have - 200,000 pageviews a month - 4-5 pageviews / visit - 40% bounce rate - 6 minutes average time on site - 70% of visits are returning The traffic comes from - 30% Search engines - 20% referring sites - 50% direct I am not an experienced webmaster (rather a programmer). I am thinking about monetizing the blog, because I would need a few extra bucks right now. I am not sure of what the best way of doing it would be and especially how much earnings I could expect. Furthermore I do not want to somehow negatively influence my loyal readers with ads. Any thought on that? Thank you!
Well, since you have a blog, I would go for CPM or CPC ads. First choice would be, Google Adsense. They have the best rates and you will make a lot from them. But, if you want to earn via CPM try these: Tribal Fusion ValueClick Media ADSDAQ It isn't easy getting into those networks though. But, if you have QUALITY content on your website, you will probably get in. I doubt your viewers would mind small advertisements on the blog, but i'm not sure.
