Blog loading is slow.

My blog here has a column that is slow loading. I know that the huge amount of links is probably why it is loading slow but is there a way to have my site load faster without affecting the link count?

The truth is plainly obvious: all those little icons and too many ads. Basically when a browser hits your site, it has to go out and retrieve information from a ton of different places.

    Here are some suggestions:
    1. Move those RSS icons to a page of their own, and link to that page from your main page.
    2. Cut down on the number of ads, especially those which are performing well for you.

I'm sure there are some more. But put yourself in the shoes of a visitor to your site, and ask yourself what makes me enjoy the site. Anything else would be superfluous.

You are trying to monetize every pixel on the sidebar. That is the problem. There is a problem with the theme again. A good theme should render the content first, then the sidebar etc. Change it.

Thanks I'll will look into it. My articles needed updating that's why two articles are published twice, it is in transition. The site is really a source site where visitors can go and not need to go anywhere else for other things associated with the niche. The articles will be advice-like and informative about the products. My focus is on the loading right now.

Just reduce the graphic and add thingy, and you're good to go. Try using colors instead of pictures for decoration.

Maybe you should try the WP-Cache add-on?

I am using it, and it caches my blog very well. Sometimes a little too well, actually. (I've had some instances where posts don't show up for a good amount of time because of the stored cache)

Thanks for the suggestions guys, i'm not sure if wp-cache will work on blogger-blogspot but i'll try and i'll try the website optimizer. I'm hoping that the average computer user won't have a slow load with my site. I guess it is due to massive amount of links and graphics, even though i have seen some site with huge blogrolls and lots of graphics without a slow load at all.

That website optimizer is really good, it pinpoints what the sizes are. Thanks KC Tan

Looks like the Add-This button load is slowing you down.
