Hello Just wondering what everyone's thoughts were on blog post links once they move onto a PR=0 page? For example, many new blog posts start off on the homepage with say a PR=3. Then after say a 2 week period find themselves on page 2 of the blog where PR=0. Is it worth bothering with these links or are they still worth their value? Thanks
As long as it's a do follow back link it will be worth it. The same happens with blog commenting, with some setups. Old comments will get "pushed" to deeper pages with no PR, but for the most part, PR trickles down from the main page so even the inner pages with "0" still hold some juice.
all the posts will move to inner or archived pages sooner or later, depending on how many posts are done per day or week. when it stays on the front page of the blog, you dont necessarily get a PR3 link for example if the blog homepage is PR3. PR juice passes through the links if the link is on the same page. on the blog homepage, you may have the excerpt but the main article will always be on inner pages with PR0 to begin with. over time, if the blog has lot of googlebot visits and if the blog homepage has lots of backlinks, the inner pages will eventually get some of its own PR. if not, then you get a backlink form PR0 page
Therefore you need to look for quality site. If you get backlink from quality site, the PR have good potential to increase after leave the home page
