For all those people who are making comments on the wordpress blogs running version 1.5+ http://codex.wordpress.org/Nofollow This can be turned OFF but I think most of the blog owners would not bother to do it as it is giving them more protection. Just a small tip so that you won't waste time in submitting comments on this type of blogs. Thanks.
We may not get PR by posting on blogs. If we post comments we may get traffic. In my opinion traffic is important more than PR.
I heard that adding links in comments is an excellent way to drive traffic to your site. As long as your site pertains to the blog and isn't spam of course.
what a misleading title.... comment is useful, as long as you don't spam it. A few time the blog i comment on actually made a blog post about my site
whether you spam or not, the links are going to drive traffic, i use myspace comments to drive insane amounts of traffic and it isnt hurting my PR nor my earnings..
Well my point was it is useless for getting PR and that also if the comment is made on wordpress blog which is higher then 1.5 Otherwise the thing still works
Yeah,I thought he meant blog posts.. But I think comments are useful,it can bring you some traffic or so..
hehehehe....From my 50 blogs I get about 30-40 comments per day. Ratio of spam/genuine comments. 30-40/0 I can't be bothered deleting them. I just don't moderate them. Col
No Sex Coming back to the topic, comments still drive traffic and if somebody does think that your site is good, he/she might give you a free blogroll link for all you know.
Blog comment could bring very related traffic from other blog owners which in turn could generate some hype about your site and some links.
Comments are useless for spammers, but gift for the bloggers. It brings more traffic rather than PR. Even some of the blogs with good PR are collecting few dollars to approve your comment. (U can earn while you learn about blogging)
I have gotten only a few real comments on my blogs. I get a few hundred spam comments a week. I have a site that is getting spam from the comment form also, now sure how they think that will help them.
Agree, sound strange to me. I pre moderate comments on my blog to avoid spam, but if I publish a comment, I give a link. The web is links, and if people take some time to contribute to my blog, I thinks that's fair to give them a link (+traffic)
