it doesn't work like that. however, if you write just one post and bookmark it and submit it to quality directoreis your blog will be indexed soon. and don't forget to pint your blog right after you post new content

Not all blog formats are supported. For help, you'll need to let us know what platform you're using and what feed URL you've tried to add. :)

I run two sites off the same database, and will write a script to create the feed, but first I have to get a script that works so I can duplicate it.

First I used some example scripts I found on the net they didnt work, so I used a script to write one for me, that didnt work, so finially I found a user on DP who has a blog feed that works, and I copied that and saved it to an xml file and its still not working, thats why i feel soo dumb, because it must be something I have overlooked.

the url of the xml feed im using is
    http://www.nzbusinessforum.co.nz/forumfeeddp.xml

and its an exact copy of someone elses feed that is working.

    hope this helps.

It isn't setup to handle custom feeds, so unless you're using a supported feed type, chances are that it simply isn't going to work. You can view the supported blog feed types on your edit options screen where you enter the feed URL (although I believe there are issues with feeds from the latest version of blogger).

Wordpress and blogger.com feeds are used here. Unique feeds from other software (such as forum feeds, directory feeds etc) tend to not work here.

OK I understand completly, I have another question. If I do make a rss feed that is acceptable to the rss reader, and I put it in my options, does it take effect straight away, or is there a delay until it will show.

I would hate to have one that works, and not know it because I didnt wait long enough for it to show up lol.

Thanks for all your help + rep
