Blog link vs. Website link?

Discussion in 'Google' started by Zee1652, Apr 20, 2010.

    Hey all,

Just wondering: Would you say that a link to my website from a blog, carries the same weight as one from a website? Is there a reason it wouldn't?

Maybe since anyone can build a blog? I don't know...

    Thanks in advance.

I think there is no difference between such links. The 'weight' / value of a link or a page totally depends on how high it has been ranked in the google SERPS. So you need check for the pagerank of each link or page and how high it has been ranked on google.

It does not matter whether link from blog or common websites. It is about main domain trust and authoritative status, plus 200+ factors and not about a platform of the site. The links from blog is not carried more weight compared to common website as always. If those blog is a garbage one, built content by scraped other peoples content, then the link value is zero anyway.

Anyone can build a html site too :p

Links are weighed upon the relevancy and not otherwise ;)

Most likely, much more importantly, depends on the site [content] itself than the content platform.

    There's actually no difference..
All that matters is the relevancy of the niche.

I have found success with both blogs and websites. I don't feel there is a big difference in linking power from either type of site/domain

Well it depends on the Niche of the Site/Blog , the Outbound Links , the Inbound links , PR and a couple of other stuff but usualy a Website link is better since it looks less spammy!

Firstly, you need to SIGN-UP to Google AdSense.
Then, log into the AdSense and go to 'Content' or 'Search', according to your preference. For example, if you wish to display some advertising in your site, go to 'AdSense for Content'.
    Select your options from:
    'Ad unit' or 'Link unit'
    Format
Colours (Colour palettes - select a default palette or create a unique palette for your own website)
Your AdSense Code (this is the code you will 'copy' and 'paste' onto your web page)

I think if you find on google's site, you will get a perfect idea to integrate in your blog ;)

Everyone says that relevancy matters. How much do you think that REALLY matters. I started commenting on different blogs not related to my site and my ranking increased.
