    My conversion sucks...

I keep moving ads around, trying different things, yes it is a new blog (3 weeks old) but I have some questions for the pro's here:

My blog is about 3 weeks old. I've had over 40,000 unique in the past two days alone and have been averaging about 1,500 unique per day - 5 days into the launch.

Now, it appears I'm averaging around 4.5-5.5k per day unique. Some days I have huge traffic spikes (yesterday = 25k unique)... But I can't seem to convert that well!

$0 from CJ, not too much from AdSense, threw Chitika, AdBrite and Widgetbucks in the trash - awful networks those laste three.

I also seem to get good rankings for certain keywords. At least a couple page 1's on Google...

    Any tips?

It is amazing to see a three weeks old blog pulling in over 4K a day. What is the major source of traffic? Is it from SE like google or social bookmarking sites like digg etc...
Never expect a good conversion from social bookmarking sites because they are not targeted. But traffic from google, yahoo etc can be monetized very well by suitable ad placement and blending them with contents.

    Hey dairyman,

I'm not an expert but having 25k+ days and a 7k Sunday (today) sounds like good news for a 3-week old blog. I wish it would convert, but I hope to grow the traffic and with enough help, research and skill - conversions should hopefully start to happen.

I do get some Digg, Stumbleupon, and Reddit traffic.

I try to blend certain content with ads (right now I have a post on viruses and I've included text links to Norton AV at the end with a recommendation).

I'm also kind of shocked that over 100k impressions on CJ didn't convert...

4K uv/day for a 3 week old blog?? That's extremely good.. How much are your average Adsense earnings?

With that kind of traffic for a 3 week blog, the first thing I would check is whether your statistics tracking is correct. Are you using google analytics?
