My blog is 2 months old and has 224 inbound links according to webgrader. Is this a good amount for that timeframe or should I be doing more to build more links? Thanks

Interestingly enough webgrader says every site has that many visitors. Does that traffic jive with your Google analytics data?

My suggestion would be to find the site that dominates your keywords and get on http://www.majesticseo.com/ and see how many they have. Set it as your benchmark to surpass them. Use the 'cumulative' view and see at what average they are growing their link base.

How are your rankings? Did you targeted your keyword on top ten? If not keep building links.

I am sort of a newbie at this, just to warn you, lol. My page rank was 0. I did have keywords, but just tonight I discovered all my meta tags were gone??? I didn't delete them, so I don't know what happened there. I fixed it though and put new keywords, although I didn't research them other then the google quick menu(I don't really understand how to choose keywords, I try to base it on my content)

I think I am wrong, but I thought inbound links were backlinks?? Are they not? What are they?

I think Blogs get many inbounds links because of its topics and they crawl fast by bots and yes they have huge chances to get better rank in SERP. So its really good

From what search engine you got that links? Is it from google? If that was your backlinks from google that was really good enough for two months. Congrats.

I'll suggest you to check your backlink with yahoo site explorer, that will show you your exact number of backlinks. And for a 2 month old blog 200+ links are quite decent, so go on, and build more links relevant to your keywords and niche.

Thank you everyone!! I will check out the yahoo link(thanks oranges) and let you knwo what it says.

The blog I am refuring to is my blog Believe, and what it is, I hve been documenting my journey on learning the universal laws(the secret, although the movie does NOT reveal what it is all about) and things have been fantasitc. I acctually quit my job a few weeks ago(WHOOT WHOOOT). Everything I learn I have been blogging about in hopes that it will help others. It started as a test to see if the"Secret" really works, well, it does if you do it right and do the work with it. Check it out if you are interested. I am only 2 months in, but I can tell you I am 100% a different and better person then I was 2 months ago, and I have never felt such happiness before! : )

Thanks for the responses, I will check the yahoo thing and KUP!

ETA - I checked yahooo site explore(just hit explore on teh main blog link) and it says there are 97 inlinks.

    Shrimpsey -

I just checked you out on Yahoo... It says you have 212 inbound links... about 180 of those are from the digital point forum. You have good links between your blogs.

I also started a blog about two months ago. Would you be willing to share what your traffic looks like? I am averaging about 15 visits per day but in much more of a niche market.

This past week I have been getting about 90 visitors a day on my believe blog. My other sites really kinda fluctuate, but the believe blog seems to be on a steady rise. What does that mean having 180 links from the digital point forum? Is that my signiture doing that from posts?

    Any inbound links is good.

However, are these links from you or are people linking to you?

    I'd say create about 30 a day.

Shrimpsey, yes, it is your signature that is doing it. Haven't done this before, but paste this in your browser:

    http://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com/search?p=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.shrimpsey.blogspot.com%2F&bwm=i&bwmf=s&bwmo=&fr=yfp-t-152&fr2=seo-rd-se

It should show you the list of sites that are "linking" to believe. Which is a nice site by the way. Are you using google analytics?
