    Host your own. Gives you more freedom. You have access to all files etc.. :)

    It better to host your own blog rather than depend on other services.

    You get the freedom to customize things according to your needs.

    Answer is simple.

    If you want more control over your blog then go with 'Host your own blog' option. You can do anything whatever you want in that way as there are some restrictions in other option.
