I am looking to drive traffic to my blog. I have a news/politics section, and I plan on writing a few articles, plus I wrote up some recipes for cooking with cannabis, and I plan to do alot more. Anyways, I was thinking about a blog, but I was not sure if it would be dupe content to post it on the blog, and on my site? What do you guys think I should do?
It sounds like you're running solely a blog and ditching the idea of a forum, right? So the issue of dupe content pertains to copying and pasting news/recipes/ways to hide ganja/etc. from other sites onto yours. It'd probably be best to provide a direct link to the article at hand, or completely re-write it by yourself and give your own feedback to the original source. Don't bury your site by getting penalized with excessive duplicate content...especially since your site is brand new.
There are alot of dutch sites about your subject just get someone to translate them for you but always place a link to the source! If you copy news and such without mentioning the source you can get in trouble

Right On, so what should I write about? I was thinking of making some new recipes, I have a few in my head that I make, but none written down, I might put those up.
I wrote a really good beginners guide on how to grow, should I submit that to sites like digg and such?
I thout you said that you are copying articles from YOUR website and pasting them on YOUR blog. and i said that you have to choose which one you want to publish your content on because that would be duplicant content.
