I have something very interesting, my blog was recently featured in Woman's World magazine, which is of course print media. It's on the newsstand of every checkout counter in the US and has over 12 Million readers weekly. It's only been out 24 hours and so far my blog traffic has doubled - and I expect it to go up sharply throughout the week as people shop, buy, and read that issue. Have any of you ever had your URL listed like this in a national publication? If so - how did that translate to you as far as traffic? If you had to guess, do you think I'll actually get major traffic (and new RSS subs) over the next week from this, or not much compared to the 12M readers WW gets? Opinions?
I had my site mentioned in the Boston Globe once. Yawn. Hope your experience is different. I've seen sites in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette get a pretty good traffic bump (like 5x normal volume). It all depends if the site has something that resonates or is needed by readers.
