blog directorys

Hy there i was thinking to make a blog directory, my question is: is it worth it? are there enough people that would submit their blogs, because as i see it blogs don't need much adverising.
So, what do you say, is it worth it or not?

 

I have this very thing in development right now - the way I see it, if nobody submits their blogs to my directory, then no biggie, I come across many blogs in my own surfing that I actually bookmark for my own use that I wouldn't mind submitting them myself if I thought they were of good quality

be careful though - I have hundreds of spammy blogs being submitted to my current general directories that have like 3 or 4 posts in them - seems to me there are many of these so called blogs of a sports or entertainment theme that place 4 articles in them and tons of links to ticket affiliate programs and then leave them dormant to create yet another one .... they are totally worthless and spammy

But to answer the question, yes,,,,,get a directory just for blogs, or forums, or whatever.
Niche directories are the way to go now.

 

Yeah, unfortunately I get lots of spammy blogs too in my general directory, just like you said, and that is why i started this thread, to see if there were blogs with real content that would want to submit to directorys.

Yeah, I'm working on a blog directory (see sig)... with various metrics for leaving spammy stuff at the bottom of the page once there is more than just one or two per area.

 

Bloggeries is awesome, but not everyone has it in him to create something as cool

 

Nice directory, looking good with a lot of categorys, just a question, did you do the script yourself, or did you bought it from somewhere?

Thanks! I've been a programmer for a living for quite a while... so I built it from scratch.

I'm sure I'll be tinkering with it endlessly too!
