Ok I have created my blog, now what are the first steps I should do to generate traffic to my blog. Any ideas would be muchly apptreciated. The blog is at http://www.mortgageadvicecenter.co.uk/wordpress/
Here is a list of blog directories. You can also look at this list of financial directories. These will help but you should also look at other methods like social media. You can join a financial/business forum.
Ok first I would see about doing link exchanges which you can find here at DP. See about placing banners or text links on similiar sites(buying for traffic is different than buying for PR). I know bidvitizer gives away free $20 for advertisers(you). I have used them and it was nice to have the free $20 in ads and did bring in some traffic. You can also join up with Namepros.com and can click on text links for NP currencies. When you accumalate about 55NPs(doesnt take long) than you can use the NP to buy traffic. You can also buy NP via Paypal as well.
Try joining MyBlogLog and introduce yourself to the large community there. Join up and comment on other blogs that relates to your niche. This is a good start for blog marketing.
start commenting similar blogs to get your name out there. Write quality posts and submit to digg etc.
